As the effect of the pandemic has started to decline globally, it was decided to carry out an international marketing activity (B2B) for Morocco on 12-15 September, within the scope of the "Electrical Lighting Equipment Sector URGE Project" carried out under the coordination of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry and in cooperation with AGID. Morocco, which is also included in the "Priority Countries for the 2022-2023 Period" list of the Ministry of Commerce, provides Turkish companies with a significant competitive advantage and stands out as a market with a high potential as of the Free Trade Agreement signed between Turkey and Morocco in 2006.
51 Moroccan companies participated to the B2B meetings organized at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on September 13, 2022 and a total of 231 meetings were held between the Turkish and Moroccan companies. Delegation met with Ambassador in Rabat, Mr. Ömer Faruk Doğan and Rabat Commercial Counselor Mr. Mehmet Ali Oran at dinner, hosted by Istanbul Chamber of Industry in which trade relations and opportunities between two countreis were discussed.
On September 14, the delegation visited Bricoma and Mr. Bricolage, the big wholesalers of Casablanca, and then visited retail companies in the Socrate region and conducted a market analysis on site, examining details such as the preferred products in the lighting sector, the latest trends, and current prices in Morocco. On the same day, ICI Assembly Member and AGID's Chairman of the Board, Mr. Fahir Gök pay a courtesy visit to FENELEC. The visit focused on promoting foreign trade, and ideas were exchanged on the trading potential of the two nations and the current status.
11 member companies of TULIPP with 20 people participated in the trade delegation.
